 Roller Skids, Sloppy Snow = Garbage

Colorado foothills got hammered last night I was excited to try out my new roller skids I’d just gotten. 10” of snow, the bottom inch was pretty sloppy due to warm asphalt driveway, as preventive measures with this type of snow, I hose the chute down with cooking spray or WD-40 to keep from sticking so much. Didn’t think to spray the skids, after five minutes the wheels on the skids were frozen solid, I cleaned them off and used WD to coat them. They lasted about 10 minutes, then frozen again.  Meltbuddy

I bought the Ariens Meltbuddy right after I saw it on my computer. And since then the weather has not been bad at all here in the last 3 weeks or so, we only get about an inch or less in snow. So I have not had to use it.

Other than that it looks well built, even if I had not used it yet.

 Snow Blower Cab Rating

I ordered this snow cab after careful consideration among others.

At first I purchased an "off-brand" from a company in California. It was named "Winters Comfort" and was a complete piece of junk. Stay away from their $129.00 model. The tubes are crap- they are made of thin tubing held on with .50 cent hose clamps.

I've since returned it, and purchased this item (Classic Accessories) from Snow Blowers Direct.

You will love the quality, ease of installation, ans overall experience. Nice to see American made quality.
