This machine is the most rugged, heaviest duty blower on the market. It does not throw snow as far as other brands, but it is satisfactory.
The only problem is that it moves too fast even in the lowest gear. This makes it necessary to stop every few feet in order to let the snow removal "catch up" with the snow being moved.
This is the rule when clearing 8" or more. There are six forward gears, but gears 4-6 are rarely used because it goes too fast.

This thing looks sharp and yet silly sitting up on top of the handlebars, however... with the way the wind screams around here I think I'm going to be very happy I installed it.
It was a straight mounting job following the instructions. It did take a while to finally get it stretched to fit the frame in the cold, but it could be used in an advertisement now.
The only problem was the chute's direction changing lever rod goes right THROUGH the lower windshield. I had to take that part back off, punch a hole through the plastic and then remount it all.
It looks like it's going to work great, we just need another snowfall!

It's great! The instruction manual needs a bit of work.
The only really bad thing about is the headlight placement. It needs to be raised about six inches up, so you can really see what is ahead. If that was fixed, it would be the perfect machine.
I'm glad I got it. |
