Missing Key
I received my snow blower in what appears to be good condition, it looks impressive. I have just unpacked it since returning to Colorado today Jan 23,2011. I am unable to tell how well the equipment works since there was no key included in the shipment. I have now ordered a universal key kit, hopefully that will solve my problem

Good Machine
Received my machine two days before the snow hit. Minor assembly to get it ready to go,about 30 minutes. I have a large area to clear and it did the job just fine. Part of this area is a steep hill (driveway), with both wheels locked in, it did the job. Only one problem, the headlight doesn't work. Have to check that out. The electric start works great, plus it has a hand pull for backup. All things said, I am happy with the machine.--J.K.

Christmas Blizzard
We had 18" of snow on the 26 of December and it was wet snow, my Arien snowblower performed great! I plowed driveway, large parking area, alley, my sidewalk and neighbors on both sides. Great machine.

Great Ariens 2 Stage
My snowblower arrived a couple of days late but was no problem as we had not had any snowfall yet.
I had the snowblower unboxed and assembled in less than 45 minutes. After filling the tank with gasoline the engine started with one pull and continues to do so.
I was impressed with the fit and finish of the product out of the box unlike so many imported items. We have had only one snowfall so far this year and it was about 6 inches. I have a gravel driveway that is about 800 feet long which the Ariens handled with no problem.
I am very pleased with my Ariens snowblower and would recommend it to anyone.

The Staff answered all of my questions (more than once - I'm a Florida boy buying my first snow blower after last winter's snow-mageddon in Maryland) so that I felt confident that I wasn't buying too puny of a model, or buying overkill. But I wanted a blower that would last a lifetime, too.
The unit came way earlier than I expected (I ordered in October, hoping for delivery by Thanksgiving). Paying for the lift-gate delivery service was worth every penny. A month after delivery I finally got around to finishing the assembly and making sure I was ready for our first snow. I decided to try the manual start, and it started on the very first pull. Son of a gun! I haven't had any snow yet to give a full evaluation on performance, but so far I am more than confident that I'm ready when it comes.
I bough the Electric Start cord, and my only negative comment I have is that I wish that there was an option for the cord to come in a 20 foot length so I could reach the only outlet in my garage.

What a beast!
I knew we were going to get nailed with snow this year. So I am glad I ordered this Ariens snowblower back in October.
It has been a pleasure to use. Sure beats shoveling!!
This baby is a beast and tosses light and heavily packed snow as if it were feathers. I moved 12 inches of snow last week for a six car driveway in no time. Then I went over to do the neighbors'.
All I can say is "what a beast"!!!

Not enough snow to have fun
I am from Vancouver Island, British Columbia and here when we do have snow it is very wet and heavy.
I can say that my Ariens Deluxe Platinum ST24DLE performs admirably; unfortunately we only had a one 5 inch snowfall so far.
I keep hoping for more snowfall and one of about 12 inches deep would be nice- but who else will complain about not having enough snow other than someone that just bought a snowblower (BG). But for the little snow we had it was great- almost fun.
As far as the electric start power cord I thought it would have been a bit more flexible but it works like a charm.

Shoveling made easier
I have but one regret. Why did I wait so long to buy this?
This winter has put a lot of snow on the ground. The Toro snow blower made the job of clearing as close to pleasure as one could expect from such a chore.
