| Nick of time |
| By George (Freehold, NJ) |
Received the unit during our last bout with snow.
I placed it in operation within an hour and was out clearing my drive way immediately.
We were very impressed with the product and are looking forward to the next snow fall.
Sure beats the old fashioned shovel method. |

| My first snow blower |
| By AL (Baldwin, NY) |
Delivery of my snow blower was on the date and time I selected.I was very happy with the service provided by the freight carrier and the sales people at Snow Blowers Direct.
The unit came two weeks before a big snow storm and worked better then expected .The snow was heavy and wet and it handled it with no problem (6" to 8" deep ) and quickly.
I also live on a dead end street and the county plows leave a pile of compressed snow in front of my driveway. The snow blower handled it with no problem.
I also purchased the non-abrasive skids because I have a Paver Stone driveway and did want to leave any marks on the light gray stones. The skids worked great- not one mark left.
I would recommend this snow blower to anybody that needs a smaller unit with power. Get the skids if you don't want to leave any marks behind; and get them from Snow Blowers Direct because of their good service and prices. |

| The non-abrasive attachment is ideal for operating the snow blower over my lawn, which leaves no grooves or gouges in the surface. |

| How to Pick the Perfect Skid Shoes |
| By Jon Hoch, Founder (Bolingbrook, IL) |
Two-stage snow blowers contain solid steel augers that can scratch and chip concrete.
As a result, two-stage snow blowers are designed NOT to touch the surface. It purposely leaves behind a small film of snow in order to protect your concrete and snow blower.
If your snow blower is still hitting the surface or tossing gravel stones, you'll need to purchase a skid shoe to increase the gap even further.
By simply increasing the gap by half an inch, you'll stop flinging stones at parked cars and neighborhood kids.
There are two types of skid shoes:
1. Metal Slide Shoes
These are relatively inexpensive and don't wear down. However, the paint sometimes scapes off on the driveway, leaving behind marks on your driveway or sidewalk.
2. Non-Abrasive Skid Shoes
These are made of a composite material. They don't leave behind any marks, so they cost a little more. |
