I am currently 68 yrs of age and the 24" snow fall we had was too much to shovel. Besides our driveway is 12 mile long. Purchased the tracked snow blower because of the 6+% grade of the drive.
At 300 lbs, this thing is a hand-full to maneuver. However, when blowing 24" of snow for a mile, you need a lot of snow blower.
This machine does an excellent job. It hauled me back up the hill without slipping, the tracks are just perfect.
I broke 4 shear bolts in the first two weeks of operation & had the impeller ingest a fist sized rock that stopped the engine dead. This machine just kept on
The manual is well written and explains how to make routine repairs and adjustments.
As soon as it stops snowing, I am looking forward to getting my new Ariens snow blower out and attacking the 20" of fresh powder. |

I am 65 years old, and I bought this blower new in March.
The first snow came Dec. 5 soI took the blower out and ran it for 10 minutes, then had to put it away.
It steers too hard and always pulls to the right; I have to keep pressure on it to go straight.
I will try to trade it in, but I hate that I may lose a lot of money getting rid of it.
SBD RESPONDS: Before you trade in your 2 stage you may want to have your local dealer take a look at it under warranty to adjust it. That should correct the pull to the right, and it may steer easier for you. |
