First year in our new home, small snowstorm, slight drizzle, rapid freeze. Add those conditions to a Wife from the south who does not know how to walk on ice and my failure to remove all the accumulation on the frozen driveway because I was exhausted from chopping at it with a shovel (having not had one in my hand for almost thirty years) and you understand what occurred. Wife took the dogs out at night, slipped on remains of unfinished area of the driveway and broke her wrist in two places.
Previously she had said we don't need a snowblower, they are too expensive. Needless to say I bought this Honda snowblower. The next winter we had a lot of snow (unlike the previous winter) and they were calling it snowmageddon. We had about 36" in our area and I fired up the snowblower and made short work of it. In fact this blower works so good I wound up clearing my driveway and four neighbors driveways.
In the years since I routinely do at least three driveways every time it snows and the blower does all the work while I take all the credit. Have not had any major problems at all with this machine. The only one I did have was that there was no support on the sides of the front cowling to keep it from dragging on the pavement at times. I went to the dealer and noticed a newer version of the machine had slides on the cowling. Bought the slides and drilled and mounted them on my blower.....works great. My opinion....this is certainly one of the blowers you should consider. Does a great job and throws the snow a good distance, in fact I kidded my neighbor about getting me mad because I could throw the snow over to his driveway!!
