I purchased this unit last November and used it 10 to 15 hours over the 2008-2009 snow season.
The auger shaft bearings in the blower housing are shot. The first time I used the snoblower the bolt that holds the speed control handle sheared off.
Snow and ice jams into the covers over the adjustment rods and prevents the dead-man controls from releasing.
I almost ran into vehicles and outbuildings because the unit wouldn't stop its forward motion when you released the handles.
The unit also takes off to the right as though you're squeezing the turn control, and the engine doesn't idle right.
I had a Toro 521 for nearly 20 years and didn't have nearly the amount of problems I do with this one. I would never buy another Husqvarna.
