The control to move the direction of the chute is awkward to me. I will choose a crank type on my next snowblower.

The foward speed control is great. It adjusts from very slow to faster than I can keep up. The reverse is too slow, I do not bother using it. It is easier for me to just pull the machine backwards. The engine is junk.

I used the machine less than ten times. It lasted one more month than the warrenty.

 Shear Pins Didn't Shear

I bought the 924sb in November, In Dec while using it to clear a snow plow berm in front of my drive way, the blade popped out of the left bearing. The shear pins did not shear!

The dealer told me I was working it to hard. A closer examination shows that a person with their bare hands can spread the tub almost a inch. when working hard and the snow packs in it forces it to spread enough that the blade will pop out. A good machine but the throwing unit is micky mouse. I returned the machine and bought a heavy duty Areens
