Q: How much assembly is required out of box? by Chris from Maryland on November 17, 2011
A: This is going to consist of pulling the handle bars into their upright position and tightening the bolts and attaching the chute and chute rod. Other than that, everything is ready to go for you. by Kriss, Product Expert

Kriss's Recommendation
The Husqvarna 1830HV two-stage snow blower combines big power and big performance for folks who live in areas with moderate to heavy annual snowfall accumulation. There isn't much that mother nature can dump on your snow wise that this monster can't clean up!
The Husqvarna 1830HV is powered by a massive 414cc engine that will throw snow well away from your driveway and sidewalks. Combine all this power with the heavy-duty 12-inch auger and the 12-inch impeller, and you are ready for any storm mother nature delivers.
The Husqvarna 1830HV has 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds and a proven chain actuated drive system. The 16" x 5" Arctic Trac tires along with a power steering system with convenient trigger controls on the handle grips will give you incredible maneuverability in adverse conditions.
The Husqvarna 1830HV isn't for everyone. But if you want a snow blowing menace that has plenty of power to handle big snowfalls, then this might just be the snow blower you have been looking for.

Wow! Next day shipping Chicago to Minneapolis for a snowblower. Item arrived in time and in great condition. It took about 20-30 minutes to assemble the few items that needed assembly. Easy to follow instructions. No snow so I had to wait a few weeks. Once it snowed I stepped out and fired it up...started on 2nd pull! Ran great...threw a lighter snow 20-30 feet with ease. Can't wait for a bigger storm.
Very pleased...I would recommend Snow Blowers Direct and the Husqvarna 1830HV
Well Done!

Heavy Snow
Just purchased the 1830HV this fall. Had a nice, 4 inch snowfall, just about the wettest and heaviest snow you can get. All I can say is wow. Easily threw this stuff 20', and that was not at a slow speed. Very, very impressed.

Great Snowblower BUT
I have had great luck with this blower. I have used it several times already (Colorado) and operates quite well. Two cautions based on my experience, which is NOT the snowblowers fault. I have had the auger suck up a welcome mat (yes, it was covered in a lot of snow) it actually bent the auger and didn't shear the bolt until the damage was done. The other piece worth mentioning is that you need to stay away from the landscape stones... Yes, they too were covered in plenty of snow and I have managed to bend the impeller assembly. It wasn't the first time it happened and again, not the blowers fault, but it will be a somewhat costly repair as it is large enough to require a pick up and delivery in the mountain state.
Other than this, I am the envy of the neighbors. This machine moves so much snow, i feel compelled to assist several of them, but yes, the damage was not quite as neighborly. Enjoy this machine, as it is all you will ever need.

Anxiously Waiting
My initial thoughts on my Snow Blower purchase is "Very, Very impressive" and while I have not had the opportunity to use this machine there is little doubt that it will handle anything mother nature has to offer. I live in western Michigan and we often get heavy snowfalls due to the "Lake Effect" our annual snowfall average is 79inches. Our last three seasons we received between 85" and 101" of snow. I hadn't owned a snow blower for several years and I really hadn't payed any attention to how far the snow removal technology has evolved, but when I finished assembly of my new Husqvarna (which was very easy) I was simply wowed at all of the features.
Thanks SBD for the huge selection of quality snow blowers you offer on your website. The delivery was fast and trouble free also. Very good experience dealing with you.

Waiting for snow
The snowblower arrived earlier than promised and was easy to assemble. It started right up. Now I am just waiting for the snow.
