I personally own a seven-year old MTD Yard Machines snow blower. The snow blower starts like a charm every winter. Just add the gas/oil mixture, prime the button, turn the key and pull the cord.
Here's the challenge:
Lots (and I mean lots) of my neighbors take the key out of the ignition when storing it for the summer.
Unfortunately, you cannot start your snow blower without this little piece of metal. Basically, your snow blower is useless without it.
One neighbor actually bought a new snow blower because he lost his key. Save yourself some money and hassle by simply purchasing a replacement key instead.
Once you get your key, don't take it out of the ignition. Just leave it there forever.
