Q: is McCulloch still made in USA or did they sellout to China like most everyone else? by Anonymous on August 06, 2011
Q: what does it mean when it says "Cord not included on the electric start feature"
Is there additional parts needed to utilize the electric start feature? by Sid from Minnesota on July 25, 2011
A: Sid - "cord not included" means that the snow blower does not include the electric start cord that is needed to plug the snow blower into your household electrical outlet in order to use the electric start feature. If you have a 14 gauge or heavier outdoor extension cord, this will work as well. The only "extra" part needed to utilize the electric feature is either an electric start power cord or the outdoor extension cord referenced above. by Kriss, Product Expert
Q: Hi Kriss, can you tell me if this snowblower is compareable to a 8-9 hp? I have an Ariens 342 cc now, and wanted an additional blower, I like the price, but with no reviews yet, I'm unsure. Thanks. any additional info or your opinion would be greatly appreciated. by Sue from New Hampshire on July 18, 2011
A: This should be getting close to 9 HP. It is not exact, but gets close.
McCulloch is going to be the stepped down version from Husqvarna. They are not bad machines, but don't typically have all the bells and whistles you would find on a new Husqvarna.
I bought this to replace my 1965 Ariens snow blower, and I am very impressed. Fast hassle free shipping and quick and easy assembly made the online experience even more enjoyable. Now for the snow blower, this is a monster! Starts right upon the first pull, and runs strong. Throws snow like nobody's business. Seems very well made and heavy duty. Steel bars instead of cables for the auger and drive controls and a steel chute make this thing seem bullet proof. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this machine, and Snow Blowers Direct.com.

Unbelievable Machine!
Tried it for the first time March 9, 2013 (northeast NJ) following several inches of heavy wet snow from yesterday that froze overnight. Some of the snow had been driven over and was now frozen trenches. This 10 HP 2-stage snow blower went through everything like a beast, even the mess the plows left at the end of my driveway. I have 2 curb cuts, a large circular driveway and about 200 feet of sidewalk. Could not believe how easy the job was. Never even thought about getting bogged down or clogged. My biggest problem was trying to direct the snow from going out into the street or onto neighbor's property! I can't find anything about it that I don't like. Just buy one. You will not be disappointed.
