 Snowblower troubles

We purchased this Snowblower for the Winter of 2009. We hardly got to use it as it was froze up most of the time (auger or chute cable). This past Winter (2010-11) we had to replace the drive belt and today we just went out to get it going for our first storm tonight and the gears are seized. The chute handle and cable freeze up every time it gets below a certain temperature and we have not once been able to start it with the pull cord, we always have to use the cord.  Brute Murray 14.5TP 29 inch snowblower

I bought mine, and after two storms with heavy wet snow I'm really impressed and satisfied with the power and performance of this machine.

The big engine really helps. It also came with storage bag, a few spare parts, and a decent manual.

I realized that the mechanical design is very similar to the 24 year old trac-drive Noma 8HP25" snowblower I just got rid of, so DIY routine maintenance will be as simple (lubrication, belts and friction wheel replacement).

 Murray Prosumer Two-Stage (29") 14.5-HP Snow Blower Review

I have no complaints about this blower. I have large gravel in my driveway and it has no problem with it. It spit the rocks out like they weren't even there.

I would suggest getting tire chains for it. It is a hand full at higher speeds but does an excellent job. The chute is plastic but I'm sure that is so the snow doesnt stick to it.

The pull start is easy although it also has electric start. I highly recomend this blower over the 5-8 hp machines
