Second class customer
The snow blower works great; the way I was forced to wait because I didn't pay a priority fee was the pits.
SBD RESPONDS: The worst winter in decades on the Eastern Seaboard created record demand for snowblowers. Here's the way Priority Shipment works:
1. Guaranteed In-Stock
During a blizzard Snow Blowers sell faster than playoff tickets. Our inventory literally disappears in hours instead of days.
By ordering Priority Shipment for a $50 service fee, your snow blower is instantly reserved – securing your snow blower exclusively for you.
Priority Shipment is only available on "In-Stock" snow blowers. If Priority Shipment isn't available, the snow blower is sold out or backordered.
2. Same-Day Shipment
During a blizzard, your Priority Shipment order is shipped immediately. Your snow blowers will ship the same business day if ordered before 4 p.m. EST M-F. Weekend and evening orders will be shipped the next business day.
We appreciate your business and gave your order the same care and communication we give all of our orders.
The only difference, even during record breaking blizzards, was since you didn't opt for Priority Shipment your order was processed after all of the Priority Shipment orders were sent out.

Great experience
From start to finish the whole experience has been great. I was kept up to date on the progress of my order which was important to me.
The shipping company, R&L, was on time and with the lift truck it worked very well. When the driver observed how far it was to my garage he said "no problem" and used his dolly and delivered the blower inside.
Now to the Snapper: it is wonderful, easy to assemble, operates extremely well for my two long driveways which includes a circle in front of my home.
This is not the first blower that I have used over the years and this Snapper model L1428E, with the more powerful engine and wider two stage capability, performs very well.
In shipping the chute had a minor crack and when Snow Blowers Direct was informed, within four days it was replaced.
The good part of this transaction was free shipping. I believe some companies make some profit in the shipping process! Over all I am very satisfied with Snowblowers Direct and the Snapper product.
I highly recommend Snow Blowers Direct, the professional customer care is evident. I also appreciate the discounts.

Belt Adjustment
My snowblower is fine now. However, when I set it up and started the engine (letting it warm up at fast speed like I know a new engine has to do before placing it under load) and before I had a chance to even drive it forward in low gear, smoke started to come out by the engine.
My first thought was, it was burning oil off of the muffler. As the smoke became more intense, I shut off the engine. I let it cool and removed the belt cover. The driven belt was off of the driven pulley and wedged between the drive pulley and a long rod adjacent to the side of it.
I tried to get the belt back on the driven pulley to no avail. I read the directions concerning belt replacement and placed the belt back on the driven pulley.
After putting the front half and the rear half of the machine back together, I started the engine and proceeded to blow snow with it. It appears to work fine now however, the drive belt tensioner is pushed back to it's limit toward the belt.
Apparently the belt has stretched somewhat. Instructions recommend OEM belts however, I don't have one, but I feel I should replace the belt with a new one.

I received my Snapper Snow Blower on a Thursday afternoon, had it assembled Friday, and was using it Saturday morning and afternoon clearing over 24 inches of wet, heavy snow from my driveway, and my new "toy" had no problem moving this snow at all.
Needless to say, I was very impressed with the power and handling of my new Snapper that day, and with every snow fall I've used it for since then.
I've recommended your company to two neighbors and three friends in the past weeks - I could not be more pleased with your service and you have my highest recommendations. Thank you.
