 Durable and Cheap

I've had this snow blower for 2 years and it has worked perfectly to date! Nothing has broken, or become rusted. The only thing that is a pain is starting it up for the first time, however this is normal just like any other machine. If you have the money invest in the electric start accessory. Everything is working I had just started it up today to see how its doing (31/10/2011).

Just remember, don't leave gas in it over long periods without use (a month). Start it up during the summer maybe once or twice, and don't forget to change the oil! I find doing these steps have helped... more

 Great Idea but does not endure

"What a great idea" is what I thought when I purchased these. However, as I found out, this is a nasty environment to expect a roller wheel to operate all of the time. Prone to freezing up and flat spotting.

 Won't start

Worked great while still under the 90 day warranty period, but one year later, it takes 20-30 pulls to get it to start. Last month, the recoil broke, so I had to have that replaced. Now the rubber priming button is cracked and the choke lever won't go all the way over. If you need right arm exercise, this is the model for you! Forget the rowing machine.

 Choke Lever broke off

Well the first 2 times I used my 2 month old Sno-Tek it worked great!

Today we have 30" of snow I go to start it and the Choke Lever (which is plastic) breaks off!!! So now to start it I have to jam a screw driver into it and hope I can push the lever inside.

For a $600+ snow blower you'd think they would make all METAL parts. I liked it a lot until it BROKE!

 Lovin' it!!

Well... I finally got to test out the new snowblower today, and I can sum it up in one word. EXCELLENT!!

We received just under a foot of snow, and this machine walked through it like it wasn't even there.

Even the pile the plow left at the end fo the driveway was a breeze. Since it is new, time will tell how it holds up, but for the first run, I rate it very high!!
