A nightmare from the beginning. 2" or more of any type snow and this machine is useless. If the snow is wet at all, forget it.

Contrary to the glowing review from 'Founder', this machine is underpowered to the extent that the chute gets clogged instantly and teflon spray does not help. On the rare occasion when the chute is not clogged, it only throws the snow about 2'.

 Missed the storms

The first one arrived broken and smelling of gas; I had to return it and missed the use of blower for the second storm.

I got the replacement back too late for the third storm. It arrived for 4th storm in February, I used it and it worked OK, only now it may have an oil leak and the gas cap does not tighten down well, even after I adjusted the tabs.

 First Snowblower

Unfortunately several problems. First delivery had damaged the blower and I had to return it.

The second one works but it drips oil on the floor of my house; and also the choke knob can hardly move but a half inch. I will have to call Snow Joe for warranty service.

 More Powerful Than You Think

MTD Yard Machines makes two sizes of single-stage snow blowers.

Snow Joe makes two sizes too.

But, don't be fooled too quickly.

The smallest Snow Joe actually has the exact same 179cc engine as the largest MTD version.

In other words, this 203cc Snow Joe is actually more powerful than any MTD single-stage snow blower.

If you want a single-stage snow blower that can actually move wet snow, seriously consider this 203cc Snow Joe.
