I first bought the snow blower in November 2009 and I used it for the first time two weeks after purchase. The cable system broke completely for the snow chute discharge. The cable attachments were all rusty inside (could not see it when purchased). I called right away after it occurred and spoke with a representative and he apologized many times and corrected my issues and mailed out all new replacement parts and a service center to complete the work without charge. I received the parts within 3 days and I had it fixed within 2 days after bringing it in to the authorized repair shop. I was extremely satisfied how fast and professional the representative was who dealt with my claim.
Since then, I have had many occasions where the auger pins snap when hitting ice chucks buried in the snow. I understand it is designed this way and it is working. My issue with this is I cannot find replacement pins for them so I have to used hardened bolts in substitute which work okay for the purpose of getting up to use immediately.
My other issue is the rubber roller wheel in the underside where the drive-fly wheel is located. It has some flat spots on it making it hesitate each time it reaches the flat spots. I also cannot find a replacement for that as well.
You get a decent machine for the dollar, however, it is not a common name brand and it is hard to locate replacement parts to keep it running for a long time.

Bad News
I bought the Snow Joe in November of last year 2009. After the first snow fall here I have had nothing but problems with it.
I had to send it out to get fixed back on December 28, and now it's January 21 and I still haven't received my machine.
The problem isn't the shop that it was sent to, but the Snow Joe Company itself dragging their feet holding up the process.
I just hope I get the snow blower back before the winter season is over.

Good Value for the Price
If you're looking for an inexpensive two-stage snow blower, this Snow Joe is the best of the bunch.
We were skeptical too... until we received a sample from Snow Joe.
This snow blower is surprisingly very feature-rich considering the low price.
It includes some nifty features, which ordinarily aren't found on entry-level two stage snow blowers, including:
* Halogen Headlight
* Remote Deflector Control
* Reversible Skid Shoes
* Electric Start Cord
Overall, we were impressed with the value for the price.
