  1 Question
Q: What is involved in assembly of a Toro 724OE snow blower? If shipped disassembled to a home address would a homeowner and simple hand tools get the job done in reasonable time/effort?
by David N. from Rhode Island on September 05, 2013

A: Assembly on these is very minor. What needs to be done is the chute need to be attached and the handle bars need to be pulled to their upright position. From there you need to bring the chute rod from the handle bars to the chute. This can all be done with simple hand tools and depending on how mechanically inclined one is should not take more than an hour, but usually is about 20-30 minutes if that. All major components are already going to be setup.

Worth The Wait
I have shoveled snow enough this winter and in my life. (54 years)

I read the consumer reports and they recommended for the money this snow blower along with the sears craftsman (made by Murray).

I have not been disappointed early on. It has cut through snow and the easy joystick chute adjuster and electric start are MONEY!!

I would recommend using premium gas to reduce ethanol content for possible future issues.
Pros: Easy To Use, Price, Exceeded Expectations, Easy To Store

Well, It Was Ok Until....
So I purchased one of these, not from here, a rare local dealer had a better price. Not ofter is PED beaten...

So we got about 10" of snow, fired it up and got started and while it was slow going it got the job done. Didn't seem to throw the snow very far. Damn, I thought, for the money I thought it would have done better. Just about then the snow plow went by and what was done now wasn't. So, off to the end of the drive, well its DEEP now, almost to the top of the blower intake,... more
Pros: Easy To Use, Exceeded Expectations, High Quality

It's A Beast
Got the unit towards the end of the snow season as my Toro 221E works but does not have enough power on my long narrow driveway.

Pros
- Shoots snow very far
- Goes through heavy snow banks
- Will go through ice
- Sheering bolts hold up well
- Chute pitch is adjustable
- No Fumes (only use TruFuel 4 cycle)

Negative
- Bogs down in super heavy stuff. (Transmission speed may be the culprit on this one)
- 1st gear seems to go a bit fast as my previous Murray Ultra 1st gear went very... more
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast, Reliable
