We got notice of a major winter storm coming in for Christmas this year, with snowfall expected at 18" locally.
The past two smaller snowstorms I haven't been able to get my snowblower started with the pull cord despite proper summer storage precautions, and even putting in fresh gas and new spark plug.
The previous winter I had a full tune up done so it should have been good to go...but it wasn't.
Tired of the hassle and sporting a freshly broken pull cord for the second time, I found this kit online and bit the bullet. My older Snapper 522 model with 5hp Tecumseh engine was set up to easily add the electric starter kit so it was really just a matter of maybe 20 minutes work to bolt the starter on. Plugged the unit in, hit the button, and it started easily.
