Toro, you have goofed

We bought a brand new Toro #38585 from a local dealer here in Fairfax, VA. We bought it with the idea that moving a little snow here and there during VA's usually light winter(s) would be great with little effort.

During the first mild snow we seemed to have no problem blowing it for about an hour. Once it heated up though it was difficult to re-start. The pull cord was ridiculously long, and we thought the only way to get it re-start was to ask a neighbor with a strong arm to give it a yank.

No luck- it was off more than on. We shoveled most of this storm by hand.

The real problem we found out is that the carburetor is missing something called "Welsh plug or valve" from the manufacturer. Well, no wonder it gave us such a headache! We are waiting to hear back from our local dealer that a truck hauling new ones will give us a second chance.

Do we want to take another one of these? Are we being left out in the cold, out of pocket $750.00 for the biggest storm Washington D.C. has ever had?

Any one that has this single stage blower and it won't re-start or you have a devil of a time keeping it started should get it back to a dealer to see if you are missing the part as well.
